Momentum: The Inspiration
This past weekend I attended Momentum Con with my amazing woman, Miss Alex, and had an incredible experience. Aside from being inspired to start this blog, we were able to meet a number of individuals that were involved in all facets of the pro-sex dialogue/sex-positive community. From pioneers in sexual freedom, to nubile young bloggers that still lack a healthy dose of cynicism (IMHO). Nonetheless, all were welcome and everyone was extremely kind & understanding of everyone’s particular level of experience in the community.
Honestly, that’s the best way to describe this group. Everyone felt like a neighbor. No person was off limits to just wandering up to ans striking up a conversation. The normal apprehension one feels in attempting to speak to a random stranger was gone. Every single person I spoke with seemed genuinely interested in me, my perspective, and most importantly: My girl’s bosom.
The conference concentrated on education in a wide variety of subject-matter; from consensual non-monogamy to anonymity, business management & marketing to feminism. All considering, it was difficult to decide what sessions to attend, especially after seeing all of the hard hitters lining the expert panels.
So, what has this Con spurred here? A blog in which I will explore topics in consensual non-monogamy, privacy, anonymity, and bring in tales and lessons from my own life. I’m planning to dig back, and even display some humbling and embarrassing stories, along with the successes I’ve had over the years. Hopefully through all of this I can disseminate some good information, as well as grow myself through the introspection.I guess time will only tell…
